20.05.2008 Hola Gonzalo......que tal......como estan todos....???
Estoy muy contenta con el hecho de haberlos contratado como mi agencia de turismo para conocer CHILE. Y sobre todo porque los servicios contratados, fueron muy puntuales. Los Guias tanto en Santiago, como en Punta Arenas, como en Puerto Natales,como en Ushuaia , fueron la puntualidad personificada. Y lo felicito por tener a una mujer como Miroslava al frente del Hotel Carpa Manzano.....,es una mujer que tiene "feeling". El hotel CARPA MANZANO me fascino, los cuartos son un dulcito vestido de blanco, invitan al reposo y al descanso. Esta muy bien decorado y su personal es al igual que el hotel, gente profesional y cariñosa. Me hubiese gustado pasar una semana nada mas que descansando.

Reportandome despues de algun tiempo, antes que nada gracias por tu apoyo y espero que hayas arrancado el ano con muchisimo trabajo, te envio mis saludos y agradecimientos pór este largo viaje por la Patagonia Chileno-Argentina En lineas generales los servicios estubieron muy bien y de acuerdo al programa confirmado ... El paseo en el barco australis justo lo que imaginabamos, un barco pequeno pero con todas las comodidades y buen servicio a bordo. Un poco Caro para los estandares internacionales. Despues de haber estado en la competencia (skorpios) me parece que en esta ocasion el australis en muchos sentidos es muy superior.

We are now in Buenos Aires after leaving Patagonia. We enjoyed our trip very very much, especially the part in Chile. All arrangements worked perfectly, thank you for making the trip so smooth. We were especially pleased to be able to travel after having to postpone earlier this year - thank you for your patience and co-operation during that time. Since we ate Calafate during our stay then according to legend, we will return one day. If so, then we will surely trust our arrangements to you.

We had a great time in Patagonia, both in Chile and Argentina. Thanks very much for your arrangement and service, the trekking to PN Torres del Paine turned out to be one of the best treks we ever had. Not only the mountains, lakes and glaciers are beautiful and gracious, the tour itself is also excellent. Edmundo Martinez is just an incredible guide. His experience, his knowledge and his care about the trekkers made all of us trekkers enjoyed the trip so much. My compliments to you for having hime as your tour operation partners. Now the trekking is over and we are back to the States, living in a way same as before the trekking. The memory is still fresh when we review the photos, pictures, postcards, and books we brought back.

Please forgive our delay in getting back to you. Our life has been crazy since we got back, but things have finally settled down a bit. So, here is our final report: Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Your work on our behalf was excellent, the small setbacks at the hotel and airline in Santiago notwithstanding. Each trip has a few small glitches, and when we need you to step in and help us, you did so in fine style. We will not hesitate to recommend your company to our friends, and as promised, here is the e-mail address of our friend in Cusco (explorer@amauta.rcp.net.pe) with the hope that you can work out future shared tour programs with her. Her name is Maria Dolores Calvo Acurio, and if you do contact her feel free to use my name. I have also given your name to the man who did our day tour in Santiago. His name is Jorge Finning and his e-mail address is apequenao@chile.com . He is currently a tour guide for Sporttours, but he and his brother, Marcello, are trying to start their own tour company. They are the twin sons of an English father and a Chilean/Indian mother from Punta Arenas, and have many years in the tour industry. They speak english very well and did a fine city tour for us. I would also like to offer a suggestion for your hotel. The room was fine and you should be successful with your new venture, and the only thing I would add is water glasses---one for each guest. Maybe even a bottle of water, sin gaz, for the tourists that are not sure of the local water might be a nice classy touch. Finally, here are a few photos from our trip. Included is our Cape Horn photo, a photo of the Cabanas del Paines taken from atop a nearby hill, a couple shots of the Paine massif from just in front of our cabana, me at the base of the Towers, Mt. FitzRoy, and Cerro Torre. Also included is the warning sign at FitzRoy in case any of your clients aren't up to the climb to Laguna de Los Tres.

We had a great time earlier this year on the trip you arranged trekking in Torres del Paine and fishing at Alejandro's lodge across from the Serrano Glacier. We particularly enjoyed fishing and hiking with Alejandro. Alejandro mentioned that the fishing in Tierra del Fuego was even better than at his lodge near the park, and we were wondering whether he has a lodge or other arrangements in Tierra del Fuego. He mentioned that he does guided fishing there, too. We are aware of your fishing programme in Tierra del Fuego, but would really like to fish and hike with Alejandro because we liked him very much. We were also impressed that you were able to make arrangements of many kinds to meet our wishes. We would have about 10 days.

We recently returned from a trek that you organized for us. We want to thank you for your efforts; it was a wonderful experience. Indeed, the W-circuit is one of the greatest treks on Earth. Although I was disappointed that we did not make it to Zapata, it was wonderful that plans could be modified so that we could see the Valle de France on a clear day instead. We also want to highly commend the guide you assigned to us, Morcelo Utteau Messino. He was very considerate, always thinking about what needed to be done, and well prepared. I especially appreciated how much he helped my wife cross rivers and climb boulders, including at one point carrying her backpack as well as his own after she fell. We recommend him highly for work with English-speakers.
